Krystal Jane

For the last six months I have being in Australia, trying to piece together my life and what I want to do with it. Ive been trying to fill a lot of emptiness, I still long for Florida and the life I once had, almost two years on.

Starting off in Brisbane was a starting point, I met beautiful people from work and have finally started making some connections. I felt really isolated in the beginning, but I have been trying to do things that make me happy.

I have been in the Gold Coast a week, and felt like I have achieved a lot more heartfelt moments then i have since I got here. Strawberry Matcha has become my newest obsession, I wasnt always the biggest fan of matcha, but I guess to Gold Coast vibe will do that to you. I also have had the biggest obssesion with Yo-Chi (a frozen yoghurt dessert bar), that has endless toppings and flavours.

The first morning I was in the GC I went for an ocean swim with my new roomates. As much as I love the ocean, I never really get my hair wet… but that day I braced those waves and dived under. I had work later that day, and even my friend from w3ork said I looked gereat that day, and she genuinely thinks its because I had felt better after my move.

The sun on my face, the ocean breeze and the sand between my toes felt right.
